All Roads Lead to AI: Yes even for small business

All Roads Lead to AI

Yes. Even for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Anecdotally speaking, it's not often that you see the same technologies adopted by both large corporations and small businesses. This is mostly due to the licensing cost priced for enterprise-level deployment. For instance, a large enterprise will opt to spend millions to license SAP annually, while a small businesses can meet their needs with a free Quickbooks subscription.

Every day, major corporations are announcing the latest rollout of various AI initiatives. While I love technology, I initially shied away from learning about AI for small business, intimidated by all of the buzzwords and technical speak. I also, (wrongly) assumed that I could never afford it. Now, I'm all in.

The reality is that AI is both accessible and beneficial for the small business community. I would actually argue that AI is needed for this community the most. Solopreneurs and small businesses often have to rise to the challenge of maximizing their resources. The greatest resource a business owner can have is time. Automating repetitive, core business tasks gives you that valuable resource back.

AI in Briefs is a weekly newsletter written with small businesses in mind. I'm here to talk about what I've learned and am currently learning on my AI journey, in hopes of enabling the next entrepreneur.

MY PROMISES TO YOU:

  1. AI will never write this newsletter. I love AI for some things, but my goal here is to connect. I don't think that can happen if a robot is regurgitating scraped content. (Honestly, it's the em-dashes. 😅).
  2. I will never send more than one newsletter a week. We're all entrepreneurs and busy. The goal is to deliver one weekly newsletter with one weekly action item to get you one step closer to an automated business.
  3. We'll meet each other where we are in our AI journeys. Whether today is Day 1 or Day 100 on your journey with AI, we can go together. AI tools and capabilities change every day. I've been knee-deep in certifications, implementations, and YouTube videos, but I still feel like I'm scraping the surface.

At the bottom of each newsletter, you'll see one action you can take for the week to get you closer to automation. You'll also see a link to our "Agent in Brief" who can recommend an AI tool based on your specific pain point. (No e-mail required). Subscribe to get a weekly e-mail, or stop by AIinBriefs.com when you have time.

For Today

Start with writing down the one thing you do every week that you wish you could automate. That is your first Agentic candidate.
